Macau and Hong Kong Part 1

I planned my Hong Kong/Macau getaway early of last year (2009), booked our tickets that cost almost PH 4000 each for February (2010) trip. Unfortunately it was cancelled two or three weeks before the trip because of a personal reason (and I don’t want to divulge the issues anymore…STRESSED!). I felt that my February trip will not pursue, so, when I found out that there was a promo in Cebu Pacific site last January, I called my super friend Betchai to cancel our plan to Palawan and instead go to Hong Kong. After almost 5 months of waiting the day has finally come, we were 7 in the group.

Day 1 --
Before we departed the Clark airport in Pampanga to Macau, a few bloopers happened like I almost lost my iPhone and I was late on our call time. We arrived in Macau airport 15 minutes ahead of the schedule time. The flight was OK and everything went well until one blooper came, the driver side in Macau was on the right side, I’m about to enter that side suddenly the cab driver and Beth called my attention that the front passenger was on the left side. We stayed in Macau for one night in Hotel Sintra. No complains with regards to Hotel Sintra’s room, service, and ambiance. I forgot to request for non-smoking rooms, so every time we left our rooms, I always smell the smoke of the cigarettes. We left our room past 10:00 pm and decided to stroll the night life in Macau. Casinos were everywhere in Macau. We went to Wynn and watched the dancing fountain and Tree of Prosperity. After the brutal walk, we ate our dinner in McDonalds. Almost all of us ordered McGrilled Chicken Value Meal (my favorite!), then after the dinner, we headed back to the hotel because all of us were tired.

Day 2 --
We woke up early in the morning and went to Senado Square, Ruins of St. Paul, Macau Museum, and Fortress Hill. We head back to Sintra for check-out past 11:00 am. After we checked-out, we deposit our luggage in Sintra then we rode a free shuttle of City of Dreams to their hotel and watched Bubble Show. After the show we crossed the street to Venetian (where The Boys Over Flower shoot their Macau scene). It was past 5:00 pm that we decided to headed back to hotel, picked-up our luggage, then to Ferry terminal to Hong Kong. We almost missed the Ferry to Hong Kong because of the delayed arrival of Hotel Sintra's free shuttle.
